Book Information
Evan is struggling with the fact that his mom has cancer, his father divorced his mother and left them for another woman, and his dream college is in Alaska, thousands of miles away. There’s no way he can leave at a time like this.
Shosh lost her sister, her best friend, when a drunk driver hit her sister’s vehicle. Now, Shosh can’t drive, drinks to numb the pain, and declined her offer to one of the most prestigious acting schools in the country.
When Evan and Shosh find each other, it’s like fate. But something is bringing them together and they want to find out what, or who, is doing it.

This is not going to be a long review, just a heads up for you guys.
I seriously did not like this book. It was boring, the pacing was slower than a snail, and the romance doesn’t even start until SEVENTY PERCENT through the book. You read that right. The first seventy percent of the novel is following Shosh and Evan around as they complain about their problems. You also get these one-off chapters of romances throughout the centuries that I think are supposed to represent Evan and Shosh? Whatever the author was trying to do with it, it definitely didn’t hit its mark.
So, is this a romance? I honestly wouldn’t even call it that. Like I said, the past vs. present romances really made me confused and didn’t pull me in at all. Not to mention, you get towards the end and you think you’re going to get answers about what pulled Shosh and Evan together, but then the answers are honestly half baked and soooo freaking unsatisfying.
Overall, you can tell I didn’t like this book. Probably my least favorite this year. The characters weren’t horrible, but the novel lacked direction, pacing, and most of all, romance when it is specifically marketed as a romance novel. Big thumbs down for me.
